Job Summary:

The CVOR RN will provide specialized cardiac and vascular perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center. This role involves circulating and scrubbing complex surgical cases, including adult heart and lung transplants, CABG, valves, TAVRs, AAA repairs, EVARs, and TEVARs.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Circulate and scrub for complex cardiac and vascular surgeries, ensuring adherence to safety and procedural protocols.
  
  
• 
  Support a range of service lines including Adult Cardiac, Thoracic, Transplant, and Vascular surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate intraoperative patient care.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with licensing, certification, and hospital policies, including BLS and ACLS.
  
  
• 
  Participate in on-call shifts and provide holiday coverage as required.
  
  
• 
  Ensure proper documentation within the EPIC system and manage radiation badge requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active SC or multi-state RN license at the start of the contract.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, with highly preferred experience in cardiac and vascular cases.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA.
  
  
• 
  Be able to circulate complex surgical cases and scrub cardiac/vascular procedures.
  
  
• 
  Have radiation badge clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  
  
• 
  Willingness to work night shifts, 3x12s, and provide holiday coverage.
