Material Handler I - 1st Shift

Logistics SpecialistShift 1st 5:30am - 2pm Mon - FriYour key responsibilities:Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items as necessary.Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.Examines, stocks and distributes materials to inventory and manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods with a moderate degree of supervision.Minimum qualifications:High School diploma or equivalency1 year of work experienceEnglish proficiency required to maintain, ensure, and promote safety requirements and procedures for required machineryAbility to lift up to 50 poundsPreferred qualifications:Basic computer skills with competency using standard software packages (Word and Excel).Strong interpersonal skills, proactive, and the ability to work in a team environment.Good written and verbal communication skillsGood organizational skills, problem solving skills and attention to detailBe able to perform basic math calculations.Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
