Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week
Job Type: Part-Time We are currently seeking an experienced Part-Time Accountant for a large, stable organization in Christian County, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking for a flexible part-time schedule while utilizing their experience in general ledger accounting, fixed assets, depreciation, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The Part-Time Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with fixed assets and general ledger accounts. Why Apply?

- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and supporting schedules
- Calculate and record monthly depreciation and amortization
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
- Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures
- Support financial reporting and account analysis
- Review accounting records for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain organized accounting documentation and supporting records
- Assist the accounting team with additional financial and general ledger duties as needed
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
- Experience with fixed asset accounting and depreciation
- Working knowledge of general ledger accounting
- Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Understanding of month-end and year-end close processes
