About the Role
The Company is in search of a Division Head for Allergy and Immunology. The successful candidate will be a strategic and thoughtful leader with a strong background in an academic medical center setting. This role is pivotal in providing strategic leadership during a period of growth and transformation, with a focus on setting and executing the division's strategic vision. The Division Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the division, including clinical care, research, education, advocacy, and administrative operations. A key aspect of the role is faculty and fellow mentorship, as well as acting as the representative in various interactions, including with department and hospital leadership, and external groups. Candidates for the Division Head position should have a demonstrated track record of leadership in clinical care, research, education, and/or administration, and a strong commitment to faculty mentorship and career development. The ideal candidate will have a robust experience in an academic medical center, a proven track record of scholarly activity in allergy and immunology, and a medical degree (MD or MD/PhD) with board certification and fellowship training in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. A minimum of 5-7 years' post-fellowship clinical experience and medical licensure in Illinois (or the ability to obtain) is required. The role demands a leader with strong clinical expertise, a strategic approach, and a commitment to the values of family-centered care, community outreach, and improving health equity.
