Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 Schedule: 36 hours per week, Night Shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating every other weekend and observed holiday Ready to make a real difference? Here's what you'll be doing in this role: Lead with Compassion : Champion quality, compassionate patient care by coordinating and delivering exceptional clinical services that make patients and families feel heard and supported. Master the Nursing Process : Put your clinical expertise to work! Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with confidence. You'll create effective nursing care plans, delegate tasks skillfully, and supervise care delivery while keeping meticulous documentation. Be the Communication Hub : Connect the dots between patients, families, and the healthcare team. Share pertinent patient and family information clearly and effectively so everyone's on the same page and working toward the same goals. Problem-Solve Like a Pro : When things don't go according to plan, you'll jump in to identify variances from patient goals and champion solutions that get implemented. Your analytical abilities and clinical knowledge are your superpowers here! Teach and Empower : Provide patient and family education that sticks, helping them understand their care and feel confident in their health journey. Deliver Diverse Nursing Services : Bring your full toolkit of professional nursing skills to the table, adapting to the varied needs of patients in the Clinical Decision Unit. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Observation / Clinical Decision Unit is a 28-bed unit specializing in ambulatory patients (ie/ chest pain, TIA, abdominal pain, home falls, etc.). As an extension of the Emergency Department, we do periodically have our staff float between Emergency and Observation as needed. We are a group of team-oriented Physicians (stationed in the department!), Registered Nurses, and Patient Care Technicians.
