As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government office areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor screening and entry procedures in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
