LTC Receptionist

Receptionist, LTC Department

Under direct supervision provides reception and clerical assistance for the Learning Technology Center.

Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED and two years of related experience.

• Receives and directs incoming calls, takes reliable messages, and/or routes to appropriate staff; greets and directs visitors to central administration office; assists public, staff, and students as needed.
• Maintains visitor log and issues visitor passes; maintains meeting announcement board; maintains literature organizer; prepares mailing and labels using personal computer; maintains computerized files using personal computer including reports, employee rosters, and mailing lists.
• Opens, sorts, distributes, or delivers mail, messages, and other documents; assists with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc; provides clerical assistance as needed; maintains confidentiality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local laws, Skill in working with various types of equipment including, but guidelines and procedures. not limited to personal computers, fax machines, calculators,
• Knowledge of administrative support and file maintenance printers, and multi-lined phone system.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and office computer applications.

Skill in working in collaborative team based environments. Skill in communicating effectively with others. Skill in effective customer service.

Prolonged use of computer; repetitive hand motions; maintain emotional control under stress; must be able to lift and/or carry at least 30lbs.
