Job Summary:

The Charge Nurse provides leadership and support in delivering nursing care to residents and patients within a long-term care or skilled nursing facility. This role collaborates with the leadership team to ensure quality resident care, clinical compliance, and effective unit management, serving as a resource for nursing staff and maintaining high standards of resident safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Coordinate and supervise nursing care for a designated group of residents during each shift.
  
  
• 
  Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care to meet individual needs.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless and quality resident services.
  
  
• 
  Provide mentorship and guidance to nursing staff, supporting their professional development.
  
  
• 
  Participate in patient/resident and family education initiatives.
  
  
• 
  Support administrative functions in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active State of Maine or Compact RN license.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Have an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN).
  
  
• 
  Maintain BLS certification proficiency.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit a commitment to resident safety, confidentiality, and ethical care.
