Restaurant Assistant General ManagerThe award-winning Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Restaurant Assistant General Manager to join the Food and Beverage Team!Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle. The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and in-room dining.In this role, you will oversee the day to day operations of Bourbon Steak, reporting directly to the Restaurant General Manager and overseeing the Front of House Team Members.Classification: Full-TimeShift: Various – must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.Pay Rate: The annual salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.What will I be doing?As a Restaurant Manager, you would be responsible for directing and organizing the activities and services of a hotel food and beverage outlet (restaurant, lounge, room service, coffee shop, etc.) in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Manage all outlet operations to include, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitationMonitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and rewardMonitor and assess product and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordinglyEnsure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standardsInitiate and implement marketing and up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage and services and to maximize overall revenueEnsure team members have current knowledge of outlet offerings, products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and eventsRecruit, interview and train team membersWhat are we looking for?Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
