Sous Chef We are looking for a disciplined, creative, and high-energy Sous Chef to join our leadership team. As the right hand to our Executive Chef, you won’t just be managing a line—edging out the competition requires a leader who can inspire a team, nail food costs, and ensure every plate leaving the window is a masterpiece. Key Responsibilities Lead & Inspire: Directly manage, train, and motivate our Back of House (BOH) team. You are responsible for fostering a positive, professional, and productive kitchen culture. Oversee Daily Operations: Supervise staff and jump onto the line whenever needed. You’ll be the gatekeeper for labor control and food cost management. Quality Control & Presentation: Ensure every dish meets our exacting standards for taste and visual appeal. If it’s not perfect, it doesn’t go out. Team Development: Educate staff on prep techniques, plating standards, and strict allergen protocols to ensure guest safety and consistency. Logistics & Ordering: Handle all food orders and inventory. You’ll also collaborate with the Executive Chef on BOH scheduling to ensure the kitchen is always primed for success. Operational Excellence: Maintain rigorous standards for cleanliness and organization. You’ll proactively solve equipment or operational issues with a calm, professional demeanor. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the Front of House (FOH) and management teams to ensure communication is fluid and service is synchronized. Requirements & Skills Proven Experience: Demonstrated success as a Sous Chef or in a high-level kitchen management role. Technical Savvy: Hands‑on experience with restaurant management software (e.g., Toast, HotSchedules). Culinary Expertise: Extensive food knowledge with a sharp memory for ingredients, recipes, and complex dish builds. Leadership Mindset: Strong motivational skills and the ability to manage diverse personalities under pressure.
