E-commerce Data Analyst
What if your eye for detail and familiarity with online shopping could directly improve the AI systems that millions of people use to discover and buy products every day? We're looking for E-commerce Data Analysts to review, categorize, and refine the product data that powers next-generation AI shopping and recommendation engines.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with a sharp, systematic mindset and comfort navigating online platforms. No formal retail or e-commerce background required — just attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.

What You'll Do
- Review product listings for accuracy, completeness, and correct categorization
- Evaluate AI-generated product descriptions and shopping recommendations for quality and relevance
- Tag and classify products using structured category systems and defined guidelines
- Identify duplicate, misleading, or low-quality product entries and flag them for improvement
- Provide clear, structured feedback to help AI systems deliver better product search and discovery experiences
- Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Familiar with online shopping platforms and how products are organized and described
- Detail-oriented with a consistent, systematic approach to categorization tasks
- Comfortable working with structured data, web-based tools, and written guidelines
- Strong written communication skills — you can express your reasoning clearly
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
- No prior AI, e-commerce, or retail experience required
Nice to Have
- Background in retail, merchandising, product management, or digital marketing
- Experience with data entry, quality assurance, or content moderation
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, or similar
