You will provideprofessional care services tohelp our clientsmaintaintheir independenceand toassistthem with the activities of daily living andassistthem withhouseholdand family support services. This role is an hourly, non-exempt position, with a startinghourly rate of $15/hour based on applicableskills and experienceand shift differentials for holidays and weekends.We are currently looking for all shifts, full and part-time, throughout western and northern Kent County. ESSENTIAL DUTIES HIGHLIGHTS

Provide compassionate companionship and support through engaging conversations and meaningful relationship-building. Participate in clients’ favorite hobbies and activities, such as playing games or working on puzzles. Assistwith light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes tomaintaina safe and comfortable home environment. Prepare meals and support proper nutrition and hydration. Provide dignified personal care byassistingwith ADLs, including bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and medication reminders. Provide safe transportation, using either your own vehicle or theclient’s, asappropriate. Accompany clientstoappointments, errands, and social or recreational outings. Observe, document, and promptly report any changes in a client’s physical health, mental status, or behavior to supervisors. Accurately document all visits, care activities, and shift details in the organization’s homecare software, in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor Alzheimer’s & Dementia client For any client care that requires sleep-over or live-in situations, expected to preparesleepingarea at night andassistclientas neededduring the course ofthe night.

CRITICALSKILLSAND ABILITIES

Adaptability and flexibility to meet changing client needs and schedules. Attention to detail inobserving, documenting, and reporting changes in client condition Strong communicationskills and compassionate, dependable individuals who provide high-quality care with respect and empathy. Basic knowledge of personal care practices and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Understanding ofinfection control, hygiene practices, and safety/emergency procedures. Awareness of confidentiality standards (e.g., HIPAA) and commitment to client privacy. Knowledge of the emotional, social, and cognitive needs of aging adults and individuals with chronic conditions. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Authorized to work in the United States Complete any required health screenings Valid Driver’s License, insurance, and reliable transportation. Must have flexibility with schedule and be able to work various shifts and days Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screeningprior to employment with Senior Helpers. Proof of passing first aid/CPR training within 3 months of employment

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

More than 1 year of Home Care industry or Caregiving work experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDED BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform theessential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities toperform the essential functions. Ability to safelyassistclientin and out of a vehicle and safely lift a wheelchair or walker weighing up to 50lbs into and out of a vehicle. Use arms, legs, feet,handsand fingers toassistclients when performing tasks of daily living. Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as lifting, light housekeeping,walkingand driving. Sitting forlong periodsof time Ability to climb flight of stairs several times during shift Ability to see well (naturally or with correction)
