Job Title Department Manager in Training Job Overview This position is for a Department Manager in Training. Ideal candidates should have previous Assistant Manager or long-term Shift Leader experience. A background in quick service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. You must be 18 years or older for this position. Responsibilities Lead shifts just like Shift Leaders to ensure customers get fast, accurate, and friendly experience every visit. Manage assigned systems, set goals, delegate tasks to teams, motivate teams, follow up on assigned tasks, create action plans to improve results, and train other restaurant employees. Lead a specific department. Responsibilities vary by department: Guest Service Department Manager Ensure crew and managers deliver a great customer experience. Execute Limited Time Offerings (LTOs) at a high level. Train service staff in service procedures. Execute community involvement initiatives effectively. Maintain cleanliness of assigned area and planned maintenance of assigned equipment. Kitchen Department Manager Ensure the restaurant delivers great quality food quickly. Maintain food safety and manage food cost. Complete inventory counts and truck orders. Train kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness of assigned area and planned maintenance of assigned equipment. People Department Manager Interview, hire, onboard, retain, and schedule crew. Conduct crew and manager training. Support monthly FUN calendar execution and positive culture in the restaurant. Maintain cleanliness of assigned area and planned maintenance of assigned equipment. Qualifications Previous Managerial Experience is required, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Positive team player with flexible schedules who enjoys a fast‑paced environment. Commitment to excellence and safety in the workplace. Strong customer service and support focus. Ability to communicate effectively and anticipate customer needs. Ability to provide solutions and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
