Job Title

Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU / IMC / Stepdown)

Greenville, NC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (1900–0730) | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed flex intermediate and general care unit with a 1:4 RN-to-patient ratio
• Care for a primary population of oncology patients requiring surgical intervention as well as benign surgical patients across specialties including ear, nose and throat, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips as part of ongoing patient monitoring
• Participate in self-scheduling while meeting requirements of 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Float to areas of equal or lesser care as needed based on unit staffing demands

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Must reside outside an 80-mile local radius of the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a PCU, IMC, or stepdown clinical setting
• Background working with surgical oncology or mixed surgical patient populations
