Position Summary Hydro blaster/Field Technician HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Hydro blaster/Field Technician to join their safety conscious team. The Technician will be responsible for the safe and proper execution of HPC‑Industrial jobs across all services lines. Hands‑on operation, when required, of manual and automated hydro‑blasting equipment. Operation of special equipment such as ultra‑high‑pressure pumps. Operate equipment by energizing the pumping equipment and/or any specialized hydro‑blasting and/or chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks and cutting equipment being used on the job. Examine surface cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer specifications as required. Perform routine maintenance on company equipment used on the job. For supervisors: interface with customer representatives regarding job setup and scope, ensure performance and customer requirements are met, and implement company policies and procedures. Report to the branch manager or designated supervisor. Physical Demands See, read, distinguish, and understand signs in the work area. Hear and distinguish emergency signals while on duty. Execute a full head and neck rotation. Extend arms above head. Bend at waist, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl frequently. Remain wet from head to toe for unlimited duration. Climb ladders and work from scaffolding and stationary platforms up to heights of 200 ft. Tolerate confined spaces of a minimum of 5 ft inside diameter. Hold 50 lbs on a straight 66" pipe for at least 1 hour. Work up to 16 hours per shift. Use negative pressure and air‑supplied respirators. Wear protective clothing and equipment such as Nomex coveralls, back belt, slickers, rubber boots, fresh‑air breathing mask, escape pack, and hard hat. Work under extreme climate conditions including high heat and humidity, and sub‑zero weather. Exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, exhausted highly pressurized fluids; respirator provided when required. Noise levels exceed 85 dBA; hearing protection required. Lift and maintain a minimum of 40 lbs. Qualifications Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on‑the‑job training and essential experience gained on other jobs. Language proficiency: understand English to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations. Valid driver’s license and compliance with company driving policy when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business. Knowledgeable in operation of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers. Provide Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC). Knowledge of operation of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers.
