JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department ofMathematics, in the Eberly College of Science, has a vacancy available for an undergraduate Teaching Assistant to act as a peer assistant forMathfor Sustainability (Math033) and to assist with grading and other aspects of course delivery during the Fall 2026 semester.

The selected candidate will work up to 6 hours per week as follows:

• Assist students in peer instruction during class Monday/Wednesday 2:30-3:20 pm or Tuesday/Thursday 10:35-11:25,
• participate in weekly instructional team meetings,
• grade students' assignments and assist with course delivery in Canvas and
• hold supplemental out-of-class student support hours

The ideal candidate will have experience assisting students inmathematicsat the college algebra level, strong communication skills, and an interest in topics related to sustainability. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position has been filled.
