As an Information Technology Manager, Software , you willlead full-stack engineering squads tobuild and support highly available, resilient, and secure solutions. The ITManager will balance their time between technical thought-leadership, hands-onsolution collaboration, and talent development. This leader will also be responsible for overseeing the entiresoftware development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of projects, andfostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Responsibilities include, but arenot limited to: Lead, mentor, and manage a team ofsoftware engineers. Oversee the design, development,and deployment of software applications. Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to define project requirements and deliverables. Ensure the implementation of bestpractices in software development and coding standards. Conduct regular performancereviews and provide constructive feedback. Manage project timelines, budgets,and resources effectively. Stay updated with the latestindustry trends and technologies such as Agentic AI solutions. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) 10+ years of hands-on professional experience in informationtechnology, preferrable managing development teams. Strong knowledge of software developmentmethodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, orsimilar. Experience with AWS Cloud computingplatform. Familiaritywith generative AI concepts (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures)and their practical enterprise applications. Familiarity with DevOps practicesand tools. Experience with microservicesarchitecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Proven track record of successfullymanaging and delivering complex software projects. Candidate must be solutions orientedusing rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems witheffective solutions, probing all sources for answers The candidate must have excellent writtenand verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with alllevels of employees and management. Self-learner with the ability to pick up newtechnologies and provide tangible results Highly adaptable, a driver of change, andcapable of quickly rallying teams / peer groups Personal Accountability: We operate ahighly mission critical technology environment which means we need to actproactively and accept responsibility for the overall outcome. Collaborate and communicate across teamsand think about how we can improve our respective domains but make thewhole of IT greater than the sum of its parts. Excellent Judgement: As technologyproviders we are constantly having to balance the risk to the operationwith the need for agility; this requires excellent judgement from everyonein the design, engineering and change management processes. Execute with a Sense of Urgency Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others,and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high schoolequivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work inthe United States. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems orrelated technical field is preferred. Experience working in an airline technology environment ispreferred.
