Senior Software Engineer - SoC DevOps, MLA-MI

Salary: $168,100 - 261,500 per year Requirements:

• We require 7+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• We require experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
• We require proficiency in Python and at least one of the following: Bash, Go, C++, or Java.
• We require experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• We require experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, CloudWatch, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
• We require experience working in Linux-based build and development environments.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent background.
• We prefer experience with Amazon internal build and release systems such as Brazil, Pipelines, CRUX, or Apollo.
• We prefer experience building automation across corporate and isolated or air-gapped environments.
• We prefer experience developing and administering Jenkins pipelines.
• We prefer experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing or supporting hardware and silicon development teams.
• We prefer experience building observability platforms, including dashboards, metrics pipelines, and alerting with tools such as CloudWatch or QuickSight.

• We own the end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and release processes for all SoC software components, including firmware, hardware abstraction layers, and modeling tools.
• We design, maintain, and evolve release systems that serve both internal verification teams and external AWS services.
• We ensure our pipelines operate reliably across different environments, including corporate networks and VPCs.
• We build qualification workflows that verify software meets strict quality standards before release.
• We develop hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure to validate SoC software on real silicon in lab and automated testing environments.
• We create frameworks to run tests on actual chips, simulate pre-silicon environments, and feed results into continuous integration.
• We build observability tooling such as dashboards for build health, test coverage, and pipeline performance, along with alerting for regressions.
• We identify and remove friction in development workflows, using data-driven insights to improve build speed and release efficiency.
• We solve novel challenges such as connecting disconnected environments and coordinating synchronized releases across multiple domains.
