Senior Software Engineer - SoC DevOps, MLA-MI

Salary: $168,400 - 193,500 per year Requirements:

• 7+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering lead
• Programming experience in Python and at least one of the following: Bash, Go, C++, or Java
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, CloudWatch, IAM, or Secrets Manager
• Experience working in Linux-based build and development environments
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with Amazons internal build and release systems such as Brazil, Pipelines, CRUX, or Apollo
• Experience building cross-environment or cross-account automation, including bridging corporate and isolated or air-gapped environments
• Experience with Jenkins pipeline development and administration
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing or supporting hardware and silicon development teams
• Experience building observability systems such as dashboards, metrics pipelines, and alerting using CloudWatch, QuickSight, or similar

• Own end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and release processes for SoC software components, including firmware, hardware abstraction layers, and modeling tools
• Design, maintain, and improve release systems that support both internal verification teams and external AWS services
• Ensure pipelines operate across mixed environments such as corporate networks and VPCs
• Build qualification workflows that confirm software meets strict quality standards before delivery
• Develop hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure to validate software on real silicon in lab and automated test settings
• Create frameworks to run tests on actual chips, simulate pre-silicon environments, and feed results into continuous integration workflows
• Build observability tooling such as dashboards to track build health, test coverage, and pipeline performance
• Implement alerting systems that notify teams about regressions
• Identify and remove friction in development workflows, including slow build times and complex release steps
• Use data-driven analysis to prioritize improvements that increase team productivity
• Solve novel problems such as bridging disconnected environments and coordinating synchronized releases across multiple domains
