Are you an accounting professional who enjoys more than just working with numbers?The Arc Lexington is looking for an Accountant who can combine strong financial skills with sound judgment, problem-solving, and a commitment to providing excellent service to the People and families we support.As our Accountant, you'll play an important role in supporting the financial operations of Lexington and our Transitions program. You'll manage a variety of general ledger functions, including account reconciliations, prepaid expenses, month-end entries, and investigating and resolving financial discrepancies. You'll also assist with audits and help maintain strong financial controls and accurate financial records.A unique part of this position is supporting the financial administration of the Transitions program. This includes private-pay tuition and residential rent billing, accounts receivable, payment processing, and the preparation and administration of standard student contracts. You'll work directly with Transitions families and staff to answer financial questions, resolve account-related concerns, and develop appropriate solutions based on individual circumstances.We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and comfortable working independently. You'll need to be able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, exercise sound judgment and discretion, and communicate financial information clearly and professionally.QualificationsBachelor 's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required or an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience is required.
