Competitive Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience (DOE), plus quarterly bonus eligibility once you hit one year of tenure 401(k) with Employer Match Comprehensive Benefits: Medical through Blue Cross, dental, vision, plus an HSA with quarterly employer contributions Life and Disability Coverage: Group life, supplemental life, and both short and long term disability CLE and Bar Costs Covered: The firm picks up your continuing education and bar license fees Generous PTO That Grows With You: Starts at 4 hours after your first 90 days and builds up to 4.5 weeks by your fourth or fifth year Work Life Balance: No billable hour requirements, so you're not clocking every six minutes of your day Hybrid Schedule: A mix of in office collaboration and remote flexibility Job Details Manage a caseload of foreclosure, bankruptcy, and or collections matters from initiation through resolution Represent clients, primarily mortgage servicers and lenders, at court hearings and proceedings tied to those matters Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal filings, making sure everything tracks with state and federal compliance standards including FDCPA requirements Communicate directly with servicer and lender clients to provide case status updates and strategic guidance Work closely with paralegals and case managers within the firm's centralized case management structure Stay current on changes to state foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections law that could affect ongoing matters Qualifications Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in North Carolina, in good standing 1 to 4 years of experience practicing law Strongly Preferred Direct experience in foreclosure, bankruptcy, or collections Familiarity with creditors' rights, default servicing, or related real estate law work Ability to manage a high volume caseload independently while staying on top of deadlines and compliance Comfortable in a hybrid setup, splitting time between the Charlotte office and remote work Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
