Position Summary and Qualifications

Sign-On Bonus: Eligible candidates may receive a $12,000 sign-on bonus, which cannot be combined with other bonuses or financial assistance programs.

This role will be based at our new FSED facility located at:

Independence, MO 64055

The Registered Nurse will coordinate and provide high-quality, patient-focused care that aligns with departmental needs and adheres to state and specialty practice standards. Working alongside medical professionals and other team members, the RN will deliver personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while embodying the organization’s mission and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

• Regularly assess patient pain to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up evaluations after interventions.
• Carry out procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, documenting care in the patient’s medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Deliver exceptional care by responding swiftly to patient requests and proactively addressing their needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, simplifying complex medical terms for better understanding.
• Guide patients and families on non-medical follow-up actions, such as healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be completed within one year of starting employment.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be completed within one year of starting employment.
• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Possess either an Associate Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing.
