Position Description Jacobs High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of a student council sponsor with a strong knowledge of student activities. Must be organized, flexible, able to take direction from the direct supervisor, and able to work with other activity sponsors. Performance Responsibilities/Requirements/Qualifications Experience sponsoring student council at the high school level is required. Must be organized, flexible, able to take direction from the direct supervisor, and able to work with other activity sponsors. Lead students for sustained participation and success. Maintain accurate records of supplies. Organizes and oversees all areas of responsibility. Communicates with the Athletic Director to secure facilities to ensure a safe environment for students. Communicates and plans with other sponsors to ensure the well‑being of the student participants. Coordinates with the Athletic Director all scheduling and planning. Attends and supervises all meetings and events. Sponsorship of meetings held at least twice monthly and supervision of projects. Engages in personal professional development activities. Offer to students the opportunity to develop leadership qualities. Provides citizenship training. Affords the student body a part of the organization and administration of special activities of the school. Make possible a liaison between the student body and the school administration and faculty. Serve as a service organization benefiting the total school program. Other Duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Application Procedures Apply online.
