Position Overview

\n

GISI Corporate is seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Accounting - Assistant Manager with primary responsibility for performing the monthly close process, consolidation and reporting activities, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements. This position is responsible for maintaining robust internal controls, supporting the external audit processes, and driving key accounting initiatives throughout the organization. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams—including Operating Company Finance teams, FP&A, Treasury, and Tax—this position will ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports in compliance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical professional with strong technical accounting skills who excels in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement, and possesses strong technical expertise paired with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. CPA designation and prior experience working with the Big 4 is required.

Reporting

This role will report directly to the GISI Corporate Controller

Job Duties / Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Perform the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the corporate (HoldCo) books, including balance sheet reconciliations
\n
• Own the general ledger and trial balance, ensuring all entries are complete, accurate, and properly supported
\n
• Perform the consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, including integration of new businesses
\n
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements including Balance Sheet and Statements of Income, Equity Comprehensive Income, and Cash Flows
\n
• Oversee and respond to auditor requests
\n
• Prepare footnotes to financial statements and support other external and internal reporting requirements
\n
• Support the accounts payable process and ensure proper accounting treatment
\n
• Support the corporate planning and forecasting processes
\n
• Maintain and improve internal controls and compliance with accounting policies
\n
• Perform GAAP research and apply relevant standards (e.g., ASC 606, 842, etc.)
\n
• Contribute to accounting-related projects and system enhancements
\n
• Build and generate ad hoc reports using consolidation/accounting systems
\n
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support financial planning, integration, and analysis
\n
• Assist in the development and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures
\n
• Be involved in process improvement and automation around financial reporting process

Qualifications and Experience

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation is required
\n
• 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience – prior Big 4 (PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, EY) experience is required (preferably 2-3 years of Big Four audit experience and 2+ years of exposure to public company reporting experience)
\n
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, and Oracle) required
\n
• Proven ability to manage close cycles and meet tight deadlines
\n
• Deep technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP
\n
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
\n
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
\n
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams
\n
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general proficiency with Word and PowerPoint
\n
• Apply a strategic mindset and business view to effectively plan with the future in mind

• Possess a mix of analytical sharpness, intuition, and creativity in approaching problems and solutions
