I am working with a strong, reputable steel contractor in Charlotte, who are looking for an experienced steel Project Manager. Due to having someone retire, they are needing someone with a background in structural steel fabrication, who can come in and take on multiple projects at once. Projects flowing in at a fast rate, they need somebody self-efficient & somebody who can take charge.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple steel fabrication and installation projects simultaneously.
• Coordinate project activities from design approval through to end execution.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors and site teams.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and fabrication requirements.
• Ensure fabrication schedules are maintained to meet client deadlines.
• Conduct site visits and attend progress meetings as required.
• Monitor quality control procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Oversee procurement of materials and subcontract services.
• Manage change orders, variations and project documentation.
• Ensure all health & safety regulations and company policies are followed.
• Resolve production, delivery or installation issues efficiently.

Requirements

• 2/3+ years steel project management experience
• Steel fabrication experience essential
