Account Manager – SMB Merchant Network About the Role As a key member of our SMB Merchant Network at Grubhub, you will manage a portfolio of restaurant accounts, drive growth, and foster strong relationships with restaurant partners across multiple cities. Responsibilities Develop a deep understanding of Grubhub’s products, services, and value propositions. Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely communication and addressing client inquiries or concerns. Assist restaurants in attracting new diners, increasing order volume, and delivering excellent service. Conduct regular check‑ins with partners to collect feedback, gauge satisfaction, and identify improvement areas. Respond to inquiries and account issues, routing to relevant departments within turnaround time expectations. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of all client interactions, action items, and follow‑ups. Participate in training and workshops to enhance product knowledge and account‑management skills. Seek opportunities to contribute to team goals and initiatives, showing a willingness to learn and grow. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; high‑school diploma/GED required. Must reside in Chicago, IL or Philadelphia, PA. 2‑4 years of sales or account‑management experience, preferably with restaurant owners. Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google products) and quick to learn new software. Experience with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM is a plus. Native‑level fluency in English required; Mandarin or Spanish fluency strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confidence in making outbound calls and achieving sales goals. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Strong organizational skills, self‑starter, and a proactive bias toward action. Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: Chicago $64,000–$80,000 (OTE $80,000–$100,000); Pennsylvania $64,000–$80,000 (OTE $80,000–$100,000). Uncapped commission structure. Competitive salary package including equity and 401(k) match. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans. Hybrid work model: at least 3 days a week in the office.
