Staff API Engineer

Title: Staff API Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC (REMOTE) Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire Compensation: $65.00 - $75.35/hr Work Requirements: USC, GC or Authorized to work in US Skillset / Experience: Node, API, Typescript, consultative experience Our client is a digital product engineering company that integrates experience design and complex engineering to help their clients imagine what's possible and accelerate their transition into tomorrow's digital businesses. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, focusing on Node frameworks (Express) for building APIs. Strong experience with OpenAPI standards, Swagger, and Postman for designing, documenting, and testing APIs. Proficiency in TypeScript and adherence to best practices. Experience with writing unit tests. Understanding of RESTful principles and methods. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS API Gateway, Lambda, Fargate ECS). Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with code generation tools (e.g., plop). Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL). Knowledge of agile methodologies and version control (Git, Bitbucket), CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions). Understanding of SDLC methodologies. Experience with React and TypeScript for building user interfaces consuming APIs. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience leading projects and mentoring. Why work with our client?
