Job Title: IMCU Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 48 hours contract Shift: Not specified Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Active nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 2 years of experience, BLS, ACLS Description: The position requires an experienced nurse in the IMCU setting. The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients with complex medical needs. Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes mellitus, substance abuse issues, and encephalopathy. The nurse will manage heparin drips as part of patient care. A nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 4 is expected.
