Recruiter/HR Generalist

Summary

Novo Advisors is seeking a Recruiter / HR Generalist to support the firm's talent acquisition efforts and day-to-day human resources activities. Reporting to the HR Director, this is a hands-on role with responsibility for proactively building and maintaining talent pipelines to support ongoing hiring needs, while also contributing to a broad range of HR processes, programs, and initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys recruiting but is eager to broaden their skill set, take on new responsibilities, and develop professionally within a dynamic, growing professional services firm. This position requires on-site presence at the firm’s Chicago headquarters five days per week.

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for consulting and non-consulting positions.
• Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to build and maintain pipelines of prospective candidates for current and anticipated hiring needs.
• Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, referrals, and other sourcing channels to identify and engage prospective candidates.
• Partner with firm leadership and hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and candidate qualifications.
• Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, candidate assessments, reference checks, and pre-employment processes.
• Maintain accurate candidate records, track recruiting activity and pipeline progress, and monitor key recruiting metrics and KPIs.
• Coordinate with external recruiting agencies as needed.
• Support initiatives to strengthen the firm's employer brand and attract qualified talent.

HR Operations

• Coordinate new hire onboarding processes, ensuring a positive and seamless employee experience.
• Support benefits administration, including new hire enrollment, qualifying life events, and employee inquiries.
• Assist with payroll administration, employee data management, and maintenance of accurate HR records.
• Support the administration of performance management processes, including evaluation cycles, employee communications, and related documentation.
• Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
• Assist with HR compliance activities, including required training, employment documentation, and policy administration.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, and other employee programs.
• Assist with the development, documentation, and improvement of HR processes and workflows.
• Support additional projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications/Related Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or human resources, with significant hands-on recruiting experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing proactive sourcing strategies, identifying and engaging passive candidates, and building talent pipelines.
• Experience managing full-cycle recruiting processes, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer management.
• Experience recruiting consultants within a professional services environment is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using applicant tracking systems; familiarity with HRIS platforms is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
