Derivatives Associate

Overview At U.S. Bank, we’re on a journey to do our best for customers and communities. This role is part of the Macro Rates Sales team and focuses on derivative pricing, valuation, and risk management solutions for clients. It also involves supporting assigned senior sales team members and coordinating with credit and legal teams for timely approval and execution of credit lines, ISDA documentation, and trade confirmations. Responsibilities Demonstrate and design derivative pricing, valuation, and risk management solutions for clients. Serve as a back-up and support to the assigned senior sales team members; resolve issues and take initiative in areas related to credit lines, ISDA documentation, and trades. Prepare marketing presentations, including current market commentary, discussion of hedging products and applications, and indicative pricing. Participate in and contribute to the RFP response process for customer opportunities. Coordinate with credit and legal teams to ensure timely approval and execution of credit lines, ISDA documentation, and trade confirmations. Assist in client execution and idea generation of new interest rate derivative products. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Econometrics or related field, or equivalent work experience. Two to five years of derivatives sales support or related experience. Preferred Skills/Experience Solid understanding of the complexities of the derivatives markets; thorough knowledge of fixed income and pricing of derivative applications (swaps, swaptions, caps, floors, cross currency, treasury locks). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with ISDA documentation drafting; understanding and knowledge of ISDA terms. Ability to work effectively in a team or independently, with initiative, ownership, and flexibility. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to translate complex financial concepts into simple terms and actionable steps. Strong attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously. Compensation Estimated salary: $135,000 – $160,000. Pay range: $117,725.00 – $138,500.00. Compensation will consist of salary and annual discretionary incentive. Location-related salary variation may apply.
