FRONT DESK REPRESENTATIVE

Front Desk Representative

Healix Infusion Therapy is seeking a Full Time Front Desk Representative to coordinate and administer patient care services at one of our Multi-Specialty Office Infusion Centers located in Richmond, VA!

As a Front Desk Representative at Healix Infusion Therapy, you'll be delivering patient services in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. We use advanced technology to provide infusion care to our patients in a comfortable, med spa-like environment that truly puts the patient first.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and caregivers, welcome them for their services, and accompany them to the patient treatment area.
  • Provide excellent customer service via the phone and face to face patient and caregivers
  • Answer phone and relay patient requests and questions to clinical staff.
  • Calls patients prior to appointment date to confirm appointment and time; update insurance information.
  • Perform order entry and communicate order status to team members, as required.
  • Verify patient eligibility and benefit coverage timely utilizing phone or online resources, as requested.
  • Communicate patient financial responsibility to the patient and all applicable staff.

  • Communicates with clients and fellow employees through written and verbal forms, clearly and timely
  • Interacts professionally with clients and fellow employees
  • Cooperates with team members to accomplish departmental goals
  • Accepts and incorporates changes or new ideas into daily work
  • Provides service in a responsive, timely and accurate manner to both clients and fellow employees
  • Understands and adheres to policies and procedures
  • Arrives at work as scheduled and notifies supervisors in a timely manner of any absences
  • Recognizes priorities and takes action; makes productive use of time
  • Strives to resolve problems and conflicts on his/her own initiative
  • Attempts to create new ideas or new procedures working as part of a group or individually.
  • As a part of your job, you will receive protected health information. It is your responsibility to comply with HIPAA in using and disclosing health information.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and some college hours in related courses, recent related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 1 year experience in medical office setting with front office duties preferred
  • In lieu of prior medical office experience, candidates with one to two years' experience in a customer service role will be considered.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in an office-based setting
  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Microsoft Office, EMR, and other medical software experience preferred.
