Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Self-scheduled; weekends every 3rd weekend; no call.

Daily census: approximately 6 patients; 7 beds available.

• Minimum 3 years RN experience.
• Patient ratio experience: 2:1.
• RN license in the state or Compact required at the time of submission.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.
• Preferred: community hospital and Trauma I/II experience.

• Provide labor and delivery support including vaginal deliveries and assistance with C-sections.
• Conduct postpartum and newborn assessments and couplet care.
• Support breastfeeding and lactation, discharge teaching, and car seat education.
• Manage postpartum hemorrhage and perform newborn procedures such as ID/security banding and circumcision care education.
• Administer IV starts and manage infusion pumps/drip management.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE use.

Full compliance is required to start on time; non-compliance may delay start by 2 weeks. All compliance documents must be submitted before the start date. Any requested time off must be finalized at the time of submission.
