Accounting Manager- Revenue

The technical accounting manager will serve as the technical accounting backbone of this software development company owning all aspects of revenue recognition complex accounting under GAAP and complex contract analysis this newly created high visibility role will provide significant opportunity to shape the roles in this organization reporting directly to the corporate controller this role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy completeness and auditability revenue for technical accounting matters that arise from sass business model the ideal candidate is going to be very business oriented very professional who can translate complex contract structures into clear accounting positions cross functionality with sales legal finance and bring this company through growth! Responsibilities

ASC 606

Analyze multi element arrangements and determine standalone selling prices performance obligations and transaction price allocation across contract types. partner with legal and sales to provide guidance on revenue impact. Maintain revenue recognition policy documentation and accounting positions. review contract modifications variable consideration and nonstandard deal terms for revenue accounting implications before execution. Reporting Prepare revenue flux analysis and variance commentary for initial management reporting. Lead All revenue related month end those activities. Technical Accounting Serve as a primary technical accounting resource for the organization. Prepare and maintain accounting position memos on significant transactions estimates and non-routine items. Access applicability of ASC 350-40 and related guidance for software development costs. Qualifications CPA required 6 plus years progressive accounting experience was at least three years focused on the revenue recognition. Experience with Saas Deep knowledge of ASC 606 including multi element arrangements contract modifications, variable consideration and principal versus agent analysis. #J-18808-Ljbffr Taylor White
