Job Summary

Th e Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining and servicing assigned equipment to support on-time delivery and meet operational demands. This position plays a key role in improving equipment reliability, reducing maintenance-related nonproductive time, and increasing the efficiency and productivity of maintenance operations.

Job Description

• Maintain assigned mechanical equipment in accordance with established maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and other scheduled maintenance activities to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational.
• Follow the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and established standard work procedures to ensure maintenance activities are completed accurately and consistently.
• Support the on-time delivery of equipment based on operational requirements and business priorities.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment movements, work orders, parts used, labor hours, materials, supplies, and maintenance history within applicable business systems.
• Follow transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) systems to ensure accurate tracking of maintenance costs and equipment performance.
• Comply with applicable TLM Product Line standards, procedures, and requirements.
• Participate in maintenance-related failure investigations and assist with identifying root causes and corrective actions as assigned.
• Support initiatives designed to reduce equipment downtime, maintenance-related nonproductive time, failures, repair delays, and work-in-process.
• Contribute to efforts that improve asset turnaround time and overall equipment availability.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance Base to improve asset utilization, maintenance efficiency, and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
• Support initiatives designed to improve the productivity and efficiency of Maintenance Technicians.
• Implement and support CoSD improvement projects, including planned repair, refurbishment, and reuse of serviceable parts where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce unnecessary costs, and increase equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and operational personnel to achieve equipment performance and productivity objectives.
• Maintain required technical competencies and participate in training and development activities in accordance with the TLM Competency Management System.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties and improvement activities as assigned.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce equipment downtime and improve maintenance turnaround.
  
• Supporting initiatives that increase asset utilization and reliability.
  
• Helping reduce costs associated with equipment maintenance and service delivery.
  
• Contributing to process improvements that increase technician productivity.
  
• Participating in failure investigations and implementing lessons learned.
  
• Supporting repair-and-reuse strategies that extend component life and reduce operating costs.
  
• Providing feedback on maintenance processes, equipment performance, parts availability, and recurring failures.

Skills Required

• Mechanical maintenance or equipment service experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and identify maintenance-related issues.
  
• Ability to follow preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
  
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems or similar maintenance tracking systems preferred.
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate maintenance documentation.
  
• Ability to work effectively within a maintenance and operations team.
  
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, reliability, and operational performance.
  
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Ability to learn and comply with applicable technical standards, procedures, and competency requirements.
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Ability to prioritize maintenance activities according to operational requirements.

Education

• Requi red: High School Diploma or GED required.

Additional requirements

• Shift: 5:00AM-3:30PM M-F, Mandatory 10 hours per day

Pay rate

• $18 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
