Job Description Allied Universal is currently hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for State Site in Haverhill, MA. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8 AM - 6 PM Starting Pay is $23.79 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training Candidate is required to have a concealed carry permit and 1+ years of previous related experience. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $23.79 / Hour Job Schedule: Monday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic public spaces, verifying access permissions and reporting policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or maintenance concerns. Support traffic and pedestrian flow during routine operations, special events, and/or emergency situations while following post orders and applicable site procedures. Minimum Requirements Possess a concealed carry weapons permit. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Allied Universal will subject applicants to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
