As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and market conditions. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive and precise estimates. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates. Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks and optimize cost efficiency. Maintain and update a comprehensive database of costs, labor rates, and vendor pricing. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and support their professional development. Participate in pre-bid meetings and present estimates to management and clients. Stay informed of industry trends, materials, and labor market conditions to enhance estimating accuracy. Review and negotiate subcontractor proposals and pricing. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in construction estimating. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and codes. Proficient in estimating software and tools. Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
