Web-to-Print Lead Press Operator - Flexible Packaging (3rd Shift) - Plant 2 Belmark is seeking a Web-to-Print Lead Press Operator to support the management team in achieving productivity goals in the Press department by maximizing throughput, quality, maintenance/repair, training while minimizing downtime. Pre‑employment drug test and background check are required if offered the position. Responsibilities Follow all safety procedures and nurture a food safety culture by adhering to Safe Quality Foods requirements. Perform principle duties and responsibilities listed on Web-to-Print Press Operator job description. Model Belmark’s principles and standards of behavior to employees. Perform press maintenance and repairs, working with Shift Managers/Supervisors and press operators to resolve issues. Assist with difficult jobs, including problem solving and developing action plans. Train and develop press operators focusing on a lead‑by‑example approach to throughput, quality, waste, standards and maintenance. Ensure press operators are trained and comply with all standard operating procedures, testing protocol, critical to quality maintenance and calibration procedures and safety standards. Fill in or relieve press operators during vacations, breaks and absences. Provide leadership during Supervisor/Manager vacations, sickness or travel. Prepare job components in advance according to daily schedule. Manage and maintain the press spare parts inventory program ensuring items are in stock and categorized properly. Manage and maintain all press consumable supplies from order entry to storage. Work with Shift Managers/Supervisors on scheduling feedback with Sales and Account Services. Review daily and monthly feedback reports and provide input toward sustained improvement. Obtain press level operation, shared maintenance and Tier3 certification(s) where applicable. May assist in other areas of production including Graphics, Finishing and Rewind. May perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager, Production Manager or Shift Supervisor. Schedule 3rd shift hours are from 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., Sunday, 12:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m., Monday – Thursday. Pay $26.00 – $29.00 per Hour. The hourly rate for this position is determined by the level of the role, relevant experience, and may incorporate shift differentials, ensuring fair compensation that reflects both expertise and responsibilities entailed. The shift differential for 3rd shift is $2.00 more per hour. Ability to effectively utilize English language. Professional and friendly communication skills. Web-to-Print production experience or comparable production knowledge. Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Analytical skills to give, receive, and analyze information. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel. Ability to meet or exceed deadlines; may require overtime or flexible hours. Regular attendance is critical. Requires near‑constant concentration and attention to detail. Physical requirements: stand and walk 90% of work time; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl 10% of work time; touch, reach above shoulders 50% work time; use feet to operate machines 30% work time; lift 10 lb or less 30% work time; lift 25 lb or less 30% work time; lift 50 lb or less 25% work time; lift 100 lb or less 10% work time (e.g., rolling material). Use of sense of smell may be required.
