Shipping/Receiving Worker

Job Full Description

West Bend Metal manufacturing company looking for a Shipping/Receiving Worker!

Key duties and responsibilities may include:

• Perform shipping and receiving duties including packaging, labeling, palletizing, staging, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Operate forklifts to move and stage materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by counting materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies and updating inventory systems manually or through computer systems.
• Compare inventory counts to production records, sales orders, and purchase invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Verify clerical computations against physical inventory counts and investigate or report discrepancies.
• Assist with organizing warehouse materials and setting up shop floor delivery systems for inventoried materials.
• Assist with training material handlers and supporting internal logistics processes as needed.
• Follow corporate and plant safety standards at all times.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, cycle counting or inventory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Sit-down or stand-up forklift experience.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail, self-motivation skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Basic computer knowledge: SAP experience is a plus.

Job Specifications:

• Pay Range: $18-20/Hour
• Shift(s): 1st shift
• Hours: 8am-4:30pm Mon-Fri
