Position: Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Latham, NY(Onsite)
Industry: Medical Device
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier part qualification activities using APQP/PPAP processes.
- Review and approve FAI, PSW, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), control plans, and process flows.
- Work with suppliers to ensure parts meet engineering, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Support qualification of plastics, sheet metal, PCBs, cables, wire harnesses, and electromechanical components.
- Monitor supplier quality performance, PPM, delivery metrics, and quality scorecards.
- Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement with suppliers.
- Coordinate receiving inspection, shipment approvals, and supplier quality documentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, and suppliers.
Required Skills:
- Supplier Quality Engineering experience, preferably in medical devices/equipment.
- Strong APQP and PPAP experience.
- FAI and PSW experience.
- Process validation experience with IQ/OQ/PQ.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and quality systems.
- Experience with supplier qualification and corrective actions.
