Vice President, Investment Counsel

The legal counsel will play a critical role in enabling Arch’s investments to optimize deal execution, manage legal risks, and maintain best-in-class operational and legal standards across its growing portfolio. Responsibilities Review and negotiate private‑markets transaction documents, including limited partnership agreements, side letters, and investment management agreements. Collaborate with investment professionals, business‑segment legal teams and other stakeholders to support portfolio construction and ongoing monitoring of investments. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners (legal, risk, compliance, investments, senior management) and external constituencies (outside counsel, managers). Assist with general corporate matters such as fund operations, entity management, governance, contract review, and regulatory analysis. Provide guidance to investment teams on compliance policies, regulatory requirements, and risk considerations. Perform corporate housekeeping duties: take minutes, serve as secretary, and maintain corporate documents. Maintain and enhance the compliance program to align with Group‑level policies. Qualifications 8–10 years of relevant experience, preferably within an asset‑management or investment‑banking legal department. JD and admission in good standing to a U.S. jurisdiction. Demonstrated ability to navigate complexity, build consensus, and nurture relationships with regulators and business partners. Self‑starter with strong attention to detail and an action orientation. Collaborative lawyer and business partner who balances risk with organizational growth and commercial objectives. Excellent judgment, communication skills, and executive presence. Compensation and Benefits Base salary (NYC & DC): $200,634 – $271,446 per year. Total compensation may also include short‑ and long‑term incentives.
