Job Description

General Summary:

Join our dynamic oncology and infusion team where you'll make a real difference in patients' lives during their most challenging moments. As a Registered Nurse in this specialized role, you'll take the lead in delivering exceptional, compassionate patient care while serving as a vital advocate for your patients and their families. Key Responsibilities:

 

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the complete nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to develop and execute individualized care plans that address each patient's unique oncology and infusion needs
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate nursing care activities while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes and ensuring all interventions align with evidence-based best practices
• Demonstrate clinical excellence by applying advanced knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective, patient-centered nursing care plans that anticipate complications and optimize therapeutic outcomes
• Serve as a communication hub, effectively translating and communicating pertinent patient and family information to the interdisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring seamless coordination of care
• Champion quality improvement by actively identifying variances from established patient goals and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement innovative solutions that enhance patient care delivery
• Provide comprehensive patient and family education, ensuring understanding of treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies to promote engagement and positive health outcomes
• Document all nursing care, patient responses, and interventions with precision and clarity to maintain comprehensive medical records and support continuity of care

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
