About the Job: General accounting work in a great environment Performs work in the functional areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, rental collections, and related financial areas. Prepares financial statements and special financial reports according to generally accepted accounting procedures. Provides information to contractors, financial institutions, and the public. Prepares statistical and narrative reports for Federal and State agencies, and coordinates with said agencies as needed. Assists in the collection and preparation of budget information for preliminary planning of the operating budget. Performs other related duties as required. Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, teachable, and positive Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred) 2+ years of accounting experience Strong Excel skills Competency with journal entries and bank reconciliations Ability to apply general accounting theories and practices in governmental accounting practice. Graduate work or HUD accounting experience a plus! Compensation $66,000 - $74,000 Work Model Hybrid, with 3 days in office required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
