About the Role
The Company is in search of a Deputy General Counsel with a focus on AI and procurement to join its General Counsel's office. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Counsel and other members of the Office of the General Counsel, as well as firm leaders, in managing the legal affairs of the firm. This includes the creation and adherence to AI usage policies, ensuring compliance with state bar ethics rules, and managing the legal oversight of the firm's business contracts procurement function. The role also involves advising on complex AI matters, handling ethical issues, and providing strategic legal guidance on a range of issues. Applicants must have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, an active bar license in good standing, and at least 10 years of legal practice. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to work extended hours, including weekends, is required. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively across business units to resolve complex risk management issues. Experience in litigation, law firm risk management, and prior deputy-level GC counsel experience is preferred. The role demands a high level of confidentiality, personal integrity, and a commitment to the highest ethical standards.
