With the support of more than 34,000 team members, we promote a forward ? thinking philosophy built on a foundation of trust, dignity, respect, responsibility, and clinical excellence.Role OverviewAs a Lab Support Staff Coordinator, you will lead operational workflows and support laboratory team performance while ensuring high-quality specimen collection, processing, and service delivery.Key responsibilities include:Coordinating daily operations and delegating technical and administrative functionsDeveloping staffing plans and monitoring time, attendance, and payroll processesServing as a preceptor and training resource for new hiresProviding leadership, education, and mentoring to lab support staffMonitoring inventory and maintaining appropriate supply levelsSupporting regulatory compliance and participating in surveysOverseeing specimen collection, receipt, and processing for inpatient and outpatient testingCommunicating with nursing, providers, and external laboratories regarding testing and specimen handlingPerforming phlebotomy and supporting patient specimen collection as neededQualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED)ExperienceClinical or related experiencePreferred:Phlebotomy experienceLicensure / CertificationPhlebotomy certification within one (1) year of hire (ASCP, ASPT, or AMT) ORCompletion of BayCare Client Services training (3 approved CBTs and 1 approved class) within one (1) year of hire (only for roles not performing phlebotomy)What We OfferComprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision BenefitsPaid Time OffTuition Assistance401(k) Match plus Annual Employer ContributionWellness programs and community perksTake the Next StepJoin BayCare and take on a leadership role supporting laboratory operations and patient care excellence.Apply today to join BayCare as a Lab Support Staff Coordinator!BayCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
