More about our team In September 2022, our surgery unit became a National Bariatric & Robotics Training Center for Lifepoint Health, averaging over 600 robotic cases yearly. Most commonly we perform bariatrics, general, urology and GYN procedures. We have 2 Da Vinci robots and are proud to have recently added a team of vascular surgeons, expanding our scope of practice. How you'll contribute A PACU RN who excels in this role: * Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. * Documents patient care provided. * Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. * Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. * Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. * Evaluates learning needs of patients and families; provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. * Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. * Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. * Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed. * Maintains regular and reliable attendance. * Performs other duties as assigned. Additional requirements include: * BLS ACLS and PALS required * Associate's degree in nursing required; bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
