As a 100% employee-owned firm, every team member has a stake in what we build together-our work, our reputation, and our future. Now we need to add a Traffic Engineer to help us keep building. Working with our Transportation Department , you will support and lead traffic engineering projects, including traffic studies, modeling, forecasting, signal operations, maintenance of traffic plans, and client coordination. What You'll Do

• Prepare traffic impact studies, safety studies, signal optimization analyses, and traffic forecasts.
• Perform intersection and roadway traffic modeling.
• Conduct roundabout analysis and geometric evaluations.
• Develop maintenance of traffic plans using traffic data.
• Write reports and support traffic signal design and operations.
• Interact with clients, including MDOT, local agencies, consulting partners, and contractors.
• Assist with project budgets, schedules, and technical proposals.
• Manage tasks, mentor staff, and collaborate with transportation professionals across Fishbeck offices.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 2+ years of traffic engineering experience.
• Experience with the ITE Trip Generation Manual and traffic studies.
• Preferred knowledge of MDOT traffic standards and guidelines.
• Experience with Highway Capacity Software, Synchro, Vissim, Rodel, and MicroStation software.
• Excellent computer, planning, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
