Laborer III Agency: 025 Oklahoma Military Department Location: Tulsa Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF), Tulsa, OK Job Type: Regular, Full time Salary: $32,507.00 per year (Starting Salary Range) Benefits: Matching contributions to retirement plans, 11 holidays, minimum 15 days of annual and sick leave per year, comprehensive benefits package, benefit allowance to offset insurance premiums for employees and dependents. Basic Purpose Perform or supervise unskilled to semi-skilled manual labor and general repair duties, or assist craft personnel in custodial, housekeeping, grounds maintenance or building trades. Involves routine tasks such as manual labor and assisting skilled trades and craft workers in completing skilled tasks or projects. Essential Functions Landscape, plant, trim and maintain flower beds, bushes, hedges, shrubs and trees. Cut grass, weed-eating, edge and water lawns. Maintain entryways, sidewalks and grounds by washing windows, sweeping sidewalks, picking up trash, cleaning mats, emptying trash cans. Clean culverts, drains and ditches; repair water and sewer lines. Clean when directed by supervisor by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash and cleaning restrooms. Remove snow from sidewalks and parking lots, spread salt during icy conditions. Assist with various work projects including carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and painting work. Assist with regular preventative maintenance on building systems (changing filters, belts, coils, flush valves, bulbs, ballasts). Respond to work orders promptly, and submit properly completed work orders in accordance with OKDE‑FMB policy. Move furniture and equipment; mount bulletin boards and wall hangings. Load and unload materials, supplies and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and equipment, complete logs and reports. Develop understanding of customer needs, communicate effectively, keep others informed. Inspect buildings and grounds for improvement opportunities. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of tools, equipment, methods and practices of general building and mechanical trades. Ability to follow simple oral instructions and use hand tools and high-speed power tools. Ability to perform less skilled aspects of mechanical and building trades and perform heavy manual labor. Education and Experience Minimum 1 year of grounds maintenance experience. Licenses/Certificates Required None. Physical Requirements Must lift/carry a minimum of 40 pounds. Must work in extreme temperatures (>95°F or Must work from various building heights. Conditions of Employment 12‑month trial period. Background check required. Pre‑employment drug and alcohol screening required. Valid driver's license required. Federal investigation (T1) for security clearance may be required. Essential personnel: required to work during inclement weather. Available for emergency call‑in.
