Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $35.00 to $38.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities Manage day to day accounting activities across multiple business entities while ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions. Process payroll activities including review of employee hours compensation data and related accounting records. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including invoice processing collections and payment tracking. Prepare account reconciliations financial reports and supporting schedules to assist with month end close activities. Support budgeting forecasting and financial analysis while assisting with special projects and operational initiatives. Requirements A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field preferred. 2+ years of general accounting experience with exposure to full cycle accounting functions. Demonstrate experience processing payroll and managing payables and receivables activities. Possess strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and proficiency with Excel. Work independently with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Qualifications Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial transactions and reporting. Communicate effectively with business owners team members and external stakeholders. Apply problem solving skills to identify discrepancies and recommend effective solutions. Demonstrate reliability initiative and the ability to contribute with minimal supervision. Bring experience within retail hospitality food service or point of sale environments considered beneficial.
