Food Service Worker and Cook

Pay: $18.00 per hour for Food Service Worker and Cook
Schedule: Monday–Friday, primarily 6:00 AM–1:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 30-40 hours per week
Location: Garden City, NY

Talent Link Group is currently hiring Food Service Workers and Cooks to support public school cafeterias throughout Long Island.

This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for a consistent daytime schedule that follows school hours. Most positions run approximately 7:00 AM–2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and meal service
• Serve meals to students and school staff
• Set up and maintain cafeteria service areas
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Assist with stocking and organizing food service supplies
• Follow school and food service safety procedures
• Perform other general cafeteria duties as needed

Requirements

• 1–2 years of food service experience preferred, but not required
• Reliable and able to work a consistent Monday–Friday schedule
• Ability to pass the required background check for employment within the public school system
