About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Business Officer (CBO) to spearhead the global commercial function of a specialized neuroscience start-up. The CBO will be responsible for defining and executing a multi-year commercial and go-to-market strategy, with a focus on driving sustainable revenue growth and establishing the organization as a leading neuroscience-focused CRO partner to biotech and pharmaceutical clients worldwide. This role involves identifying priority client segments, therapeutic focus areas, and geographic markets, as well as building a strong, diversified global pipeline. The successful candidate will also be tasked with securing high-value, complex life sciences contracts, leading business development and partnerships, and ensuring scientific-commercial alignment.

Applicants for the CBO position at the company should have a proven track record in senior commercial leadership within Pharma, Biotech, or CRO environments. The role requires a candidate with strong strategic execution and forecasting capability, as well as the ability to translate advanced pre-clinical neuroscience capabilities into compelling client value propositions. Credibility with both R&D leaders and executive stakeholders is essential, as is experience in international, growth-stage settings. The CBO will be expected to build and lead a high-performing commercial team, implement commercial infrastructure, and drive key account management to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
